You must provide I.D. that you are a Town resident. Town officials will be present to monitor each vehicle.
Disabled citizens or citizens that have absolutely no way to transport their items may contact Town Hall @ (301)-824-7234 for pick-up of items. Items must be placed at curbside. Our Public Works staff will not pick up items that are too heavy for two persons to lift.
Dumpsters will be provided for all items that are not accepted on regular trash days.
The following Items will not be accepted:
- Roof shingles
- Any Items Containing Freon
- Household Garbage / Yard Waste / Recyclables
- Railroad ties

Metals (Conservit, Inc. will provide a dumpster for recycling metals)
- Computers and Attachments
- VCR and DVD players
Warning – Surveillance of these dumpsters will be in place. Anyone placing items in the dumpsters when town officials are not present will be in violation and may be charged accordingly.
- Auto Parts
- Cast Iron Bath Tubs
- Tin Siding
- Angle iron
- Cast iron
- Water Heaters (drained)
- Push Lawn Mowers (fuel removed and cap left off)
- Dishwashers (steel only)
- All items that contain Freon such as Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Humidifiers must have certification that the Freon has been removed.
